Head out on this adventurous day trip from Imlil, where you’ll meet your mountain guide and jump on a mule, a typical method of transportation for trekking around the mountains. During the tour, you’ll visit zone cascades, learn how to make mint tea, and listen in to the history and customs of the Berbers.

Starting from Imlil and climbing towards Tizi n’Tamaterte, a high pass at 2.297m altitude from where you will see the spectacular Imnane & Ait Mizane Valleys. Imnane & Ait Mizane Valleys and, of course the Atlas Mountains. Lunch included.
* 4 HOURS RIDE (IMLIL – TIZI MZIK – IMLIL)
Start from Imlil towards Tizi Mzik, with stunning views above Azzaden valley and back towards the Imlil valley itself.

* FULL DAY RIDE (IMLIL – TIZI N’TAMATERTE – IMNANE – IMLIL)
Starting from Imlil and climbing towards Tizi n’Tamaterte, a high pass at 2.297m altitude from where you will see the spectacular Imnane and Ait Mizane Valleys and of course the Atlas Mountains. Continue on until Tighrine for lunch before heading down the Imnane valley passing through many Berber villages. Then trek up to the pass Tizi Agessiwal before returning to Imlil. WHAT TO BRING
You need to prepare as you would for walking in any mountain region; it can be warm and sunny during the day but the weather in the mountains can quickly change from sunshine to snow and cold winds (autumn through late spring). Please do not leave any rubbish behind you; carry out what you carry in.
We are tailored to match the season and your level of fitness. You have the choice of basing yourself in Berber Guesthouses, from where you can take daily walks, or you can Atlas Mule Trek for 2+ days. On mule treks you usually have the choice of staying in Berber Guesthouse/with families or wild camping in 2-person tents. In addition to regular packing, here is a check list for:
- Good walking boots and socks
- Comfortable shoes/slippers for camp/guesthouse
- Trekking pants
- Lightweight waterproof over-trousers / rain-pants
